At Brooklea Beauties Goldendoodles and Golden Retrievers, we are committed to breeding healthy, happy puppies that make great family pets. Our breeding program is designed to produce puppies with excellent temperaments and conformation to the breed standard. Our Goldendoodle and Golden Retriever puppies are raised in our home, and spend their first weeks here in our kitchen around so many other stimuli, cats, children, vacuum cleaner, mop... They hear household noises, just like they will hear in your home, they are located in high traffic areas of our home so they can experience and become accustomed to the sounds and stimuli they will hear in your home.
Our Founder & President, Stacy, is a Certified Canine Behavior Consultant who is qualified in canine temperament testing and canine behavior to select perfect puppies for families.
A far better choice is made by a professional through temperament testing and daily observation of behavior than a one time visit to a litter, not to mention it isn't safe to visit breeders, there are tons of germs in our world and we at Brooklea Beauties take every measure to prevent our adult dogs and puppies from catching viruses.
Visitation is allowed when you pickup your puppy from us, we welcome you into our home and into our office where your puppy is brought in, this keeps the level of germs at bay, where we can easily clean the area.
You want to see puppy before pickup, of Course! We have so much technology these days that we can accommodate just about anything, a meetings call (video call to see puppy), video of individual puppy emailed, texted or posted, We encourage you to check out our facebook and reviews for more details on previous puppies and their owners...
We maintain a very bio secure environment and couple routine vaccinations into that as well as proper nutrition to prevent any diseases from breaking the barriers we have set up.
There are so many reasons why people should not visit animal breeders, first to control the spread of disease... People want to "see" our dogs, or "see" the puppies but this is not safe practices for the buyer and especially for us! Many people also visit multiple breeders to choose the puppy they want, this is the most dangerous, alongside shelters, and pet stores have the most potential for diseases.Have they been to the pet store? How about the Vet? Have they walked through a dog park or does a puppy on their very street have kennel cough, parvo, distemper??? Almost all animals can be infected with these viruses, even wild animals that walk through your yard at night... How would one know if they encountered a disease? They would not know at all..., these are animal viruses, therefore not zoonotic... Yes, that is just it... People can be carriers of any animal virus through shoes, clothes, tires, purse, etc. and bring that virus to our home and infect our litters...
Diseases are prevalent everywhere in the world, some places more so than others. Here we use the best cleaners and sanitizers to clean every surface of our home and dogs feeding and sleeping areas within our home, cleaners like Parvoscrub and kennelsol, peroxide based cleaners and bleach based cleaners. We also vaccinate our puppies as soon as it is feasible and maintain the most sanitary environments for them to thrive in.Despite all that diseases are invisible and we can not control what occurs outside our home, but we can prevent it from coming into our home and getting to our animals. The best practices to truly prevent any potential disease from coming into our home and affecting our puppies. Which is why we do not allow visitation, and others should not either.
At Brooklea Beauties Goldendoodles and Golden Retrievers Breeder, we specialize in breeding Brooklea Beauties Goldendoodles and Golden Retrievers puppies with the best temperament, health, and conformation possible. Our puppies are raised in a loving and caring environment, and we take pride in providing them with the best care and attention from birth until they go to their forever homes. Our breeding dogs are health tested and have excellent temperaments, ensuring that their puppies will be the perfect addition to any family. We offer a health guarantee with all of our puppies and are here to provide ongoing support to our puppy owners.
We are a small family-owned and operated breeder, with a focus on producing high-quality Brooklea Beauties Goldendoodles and Golden Retrievers puppies. We take pride in our breeding program and strive to provide our puppies with the best care possible. Our breeding dogs are health tested, and we ensure that our puppies are well socialized before they go to their new homes. We also provide ongoing support to our puppy owners, ensuring that our puppies are happy and healthy throughout their lives.
Goldendoodles have something called hybrid vigor, this is attained by breeding a healthy poodle to a healthy golden retriever. If both parents are healthy the likelihood of the puppy developing any genetic or otherwise condition is greatly reduced. This does not guarantee that the dog wont get cancer or get something or have an environmentally caused illness appear but it will lessen the likelihood that any condition will present.
That being said there are many other factors that go into raising healthy dogs, not just feeding properly and getting them ample exercise, we add many nutritional supplements that are very pricey but these supplements ensure we have less puppy fatalities and more strong, healthy babies that thrive, not just survive.
By adding the supplements we use our puppies are on a head start to a long, healthy life with less chances of joint damages or potential for broken bones and heart and lung problems.
There is a science to breeding healthy dogs and we have mastered this over many years, the new "covid" breeders who have recently decided to become "breeders" do not have this knowledge and experience, be sure to select a breeder who has experience and not just a person who wanted to breed because they were laid off from their job from Covid... There are breeders who truly devote their every day and every night, their holidays and weekends and anniversary's and birthdays to the care of their dogs, that is us! That is what we do... Stacy is always near home and tends to these dogs no matter what else if going on in her life... Devotion is what it's called, and we are devoted to our dogs and your puppy!

We offer something very unique here, our Golden Retrievers and Goldendoodles are all selectively bred for service dogs and therapy dogs. We register through the CKC and the AKC, our dogs have extensive pedigrees and lineage that has shown to be excellent at tasks to help people with special needs.
We have many dogs from our litters that work hand in hand with their owners in hospitals, hospice centers and schools. Many of our dogs have been homed with facilities needing a service dog for their patients and residents. A good portion of our doodles and goldens are in homes with families with special needs to help a family member out on a daily basis for basic functioning or emotional support.
The Golden Retriever was developed in Britain in the 1800's specifically for retrieving game; the first person to have actually been credited with the coining of the breed was Sir Dudley Majoribanks (later referred to as Lord Tweedmouth), he began with Nous who was a yellow flat coated retriever in 1866 (Cairns 1999). In 1868 Nous was bred to Belle who was a Tweed Water Spaniel which was a favored retrieving dog at the time; Nous resembles the Golden Retrievers of today (Cairns 1999). The breeding of Nous and Belle produced 4 yellow colored pups named Ada, Crocus, Cowslip and Primrose; Cowslip was bred to Tweed (a Tweed Water Spaniel) and then bred to Sampson (a Red Setter) (Cairns 1999). In 1884 Jack (male from Samson and Cowslip) was bred to Zoe (Flat coated black Retriever whose sire was a flat coated Retriever and dam was Topsy daughter of Tweed and Cowslip) (Cairns 1999). The last breeding that Lord Tweedmouth entered was that of Nous (II) and Queenie, Queenie was a daughter to a black flat coated retriever and Gill who was from the same litter as Nous (II); two yellow colored pups were whelped from this pairing named Prim and Rose (Cairns 1999). Goldendoodle:
F1 means First Generation which is a direct cross between the Golden Retriever and Poodle. In our case for most of these pairings we use a Moyen Poodle giving us a medium sized puppy. Our F1 Mediums are typically 22-33" at the withers; our medium F1's are typically between 45 and 75 lbs full grown. We prefer the F1 generation as they carry the best traits of the Golden Retriever and the low to no shed qualities of the Poodle, we can select the best low shed match if there are special needs for extremely low shed. Remember all animals have dander, regardless if they shed or not, dander is what most people have allergies to, so if you have severe animal allergies a pet dog may not be a good idea.
Our Goldendoodles are Not Mutts or Mongrels, by definition a mutt or a mongrel is a dog with unknown lineage, all of our dogs have a long line of well known lineage. We can not speak for other breeders but we have lengthy lineage on all of our adults, and Goldendoodle puppies.
We at Brooklea Beauties value your privacy and will not sell nor share your email or contact with anyone. We will frequently reach out, and expect to hear from you as well with progress reports and updates!
The F1 Medium Goldendoodle is a direct cross between the Golden Retriever and the Poodle, here we use a Small Standard Poodle Stud (Mance) to produce the Medium size Goldendoodle. On occasion we take the extra time to train our youth, this could be because we are looking to retain one for future breeding or we just think that a certain dog will have so much more potential trained by Stacy. People love puppies, but puppies can be a lot of work, and expense, the vaccinations, vet exams, Rabies vaccine (which can only be done by a licensed Vet) and yep, as they get older and grow, they eat, and poop... a lot, some people do not want to deal with that, we do it here for you!!
